Wow, all the tracks from In The Pocket are really tight. AWESOME.

I actually own the In the Pocket dvd, and I highly recommend it. All of the songs are great as well as Dennis' playing. It's one of those dvds that i can just keeping watching over and over. Also, Gary Grainger does some great bass work in the drum and bass grooves.

And I just wanted to add that its not an instructional video at all. I'm not sure Dennis could even explain half the stuff he does. But it's entertaining to watch, and I each time i see it i end up figuring out a new lick to work and improve upon.

Indeed.

His vids. Serious Moves is good. But if you had to choose only 1, then ITP is it. Both have lots of live vid footage of the John Scofield electric quartet in the studio [FULL uninterrupted tunes, from Blue Matter & Loud Jazz]. Excellent playing. [Jim Beard on keys.]

DC does "break down" some of the stuff [meaning, plays the grooves slowly w Grainger [img]wink.gif[/img] ]

What was up with that first solo clip? They're in 5, and he starts blowing in 5, then just goes into the same stuff in 4 with the feet ostinato underneath? [img]graemlins/sure.gif[/img]

He's one of my favorite drummers for sure, it would be nice to see him do something different solo wise though.
